Place: In the home of Mr. and Ms. Rod Bristol in the Biyela part of Entonjaneni District, in the Biyela area; the Bristols run a trading station here
Storyteller: A Zulu woman, a Biyela / She is about 45 years old / Chakijana and the isalukazi / In a discussion after the performance, the storyteller said that the isalukazi wallowing in red earth at the end of the story is meant to symbolize the fact that the isalukazi had taken on the characteristics of the animal
