The map includes insets of Franklin, Hales Corners, Bay View, Oak Creek, Wauwatosa, National Asylum Grounds for disabled soldiers, Greenfield, and the City of Milwaukee. Some sections are pink, yellow, green, and blue. The map also includes manuscript annotations.
