Newspaper Clipping Description: Same image on p000127-02, p000202-085-06, p000202-086-12, p000264v2-11b, p000264v2-22c. Narrow gauge Richland Center train engine being hauled on a wagon. White post office building (may be Sextonville Post Office), two sheds, and trees in background. Five unidentified men in hats standing in front of post office. Man in train engine. Back of oxen is shown still hitched to wagon. Large man is said to be Peter Mickle. Front Print: “The branch line, talked of for several years, got off to a good start in 1875 when an engine was bought and hauled from Lone Rock to Richland Center on logging trucks, horse and ox teams providing the power. Operations were from the Richland Center end of the branch. Wooden rails, made in Richland Center, were used and the line went in operation in July, 1876.
