This map of North America shows cities, rivers, lakes, and a few topographical features, complete with numerous descriptive blocks of text about expeditions, Native Americans, and the condition of the land throughout. There are two inset maps: "The Harbour of Annapolis Royal," and "A Map of ye Mouth of Mississippi and Mobile Rivers, &c." In the top left corner Moll included a detailed engraving of the Indian fort Sasquesahanok, which, according to a map by Guillaume De L'Isle that Moll references in his own cartouche, marked the division between French and British territories. The boundaries between French, Spanish, and English claims are clearly marked, French as blue, English as yellow, and Spanish as red as explained in the Advertisement to the right of Florida. Both in this advertisement and in the title cartouche, Moll particularly emphasizes the encroachment of French claims on the English, and further cautions that the French were claiming lands inhabited by the Cherokees and Ir
