Irish brogue - Lumberjack
Mr. Bowlen thinks he is the only man in Wisconsin who knows this song. He sang it in the lumber camps.
He learned it in the woods, from a red-haired Irishman Sandy - when Bowlen was about 17. As Mr. Bowlen remarked, "She lost the poor damned thing."
