- Description
Boys climbing into the back of a truck, per Joe Jackan (03-14-2013); "These boys are getting ready to go pick beans. The clues are the pails and sacks. This was one of the ways to earn some spending money during the summer in the 1940's. The Cities Service tower and part of a Standard sign in the background indicate this pick up was at the gas station next to city hall. The boy on the far right in the truck is sitting on an upside down Greisedieck Brothers beer case."
