This U.S. Geological Survey map from 1917 shows the sedimentary and igneous deposits in southeastern Wisconsin and south central Wisconsin, as well as the limits of glacial drift in the area. Stone quarries and iron mines are identified and detailed notes about the geology of the area and the sources of information used to compile this map are included in the margins. Counties, cities and villages, railroads, and lakes are identified.
