This plat map is pen-and-ink and shows landowners, the Mississippi River, the Marais de St. Friole, Fort Crawford, the town commons, and the Village of St. Friole. Also included are notations in pencil and red ink. The left margin reads: "Main Village of Prairie du Chien as claimed and occupied in 1820...13 to 21, surveyed by Lucius Lyons in 1828, and patented in 1830."
