- Description
Probably acrylic painting. Shows a man pushing a cart with a garbage can, brooms and a shovel in front of buildings. Buildings are marked, "Deiters", "Tom Costello's Meat Market", "Feeds", W.A. Breeden Groceries". From an article in the Richland Democrat, 15 Mar 1911, "T.H. Costello is preparing to open a meat market in his building, on Main Street." An article in the Republican Observer, 10 Aug 1961, says that Richard Breeden is erecting a new building at 168 North Main Street where the family has run a store for 70 years. So these buildings were on the west side of Main Street between Court and Mill Streets.
