This photograph shows the intersection of N Milwaukee and E Wells Sts. The buildings are in the early stages of being razed, and are mostly unoccupied, with the exception of the E & J Dahlhause Coffee Shop and the Unique Slip Cover House.
Nov 61 / Below - Bldgs shown located at and near the ne cor of E. Wells and N. Milwaukee strs, in the 1st stages of being razed, during Nov. Dec. 1961. Except for a small bldg of some sort, most likely as a residence, this site otherwise was vacant around 1855, as indicated by Lapham's map at that time.
