- Description
Large format map showing America and Canada east of the Mississippi River. D'Anville marks the locations of rivers, lakes, settlements, cities, Native American lands, forts, and European claims in great detail, making this map one of the most extensive and complete depictions of North America in the 1750s. The map is void of decoration save for the elegant title cartouche which hosts a beaver below the engraved text.
