Exterior view of the Royal Theatre building showing the front facade and the storefronts on the ground level. In the window on the left a sign says Ashland Lock & Key. In the foreground are parallel parked cars along the main street.
The Royal Theatre was open in 1916 and in the 1920's there were both live acts and motion pictures. By 1956 the Royal Theatre went out of business, partially due to the popularity of the TV. Ashland Lock & Key was located at 515 West 2nd Street only in 1978.
