OTHER INFORMATION: Ways - T0230; She was used as a pleasure yacht (the Oronoco) by the doctors Mayo in 1921 until sold in November 1921 and renamed Ben Franklin. As the Ben Franklin, she towed coal from Moundsville to Parkersburg. In July, 1925 she was cut down pool style at the Morgan-David Dock Company, Glenwood, Pennsylvania. Cause of final fire was a signal lantern. A.O. Kirschner had been killed by a burglar whom he had surprised in his home on October 25, 1935, just six weeks before the Ben Franklin burned
