- Description
Kaintuck folk song
This is not to be found in the collection of Asher E. Treat.
In some instances in these Kaintuck songs Mrs. Borusky was at variance with the text and the music as set in notation by Asher E. Treat in Kentucky folk song in northern Wisconsin. Mrs. Borusky stated that she learned the songs from her mother, her father, and also from a neighbor woman. She was well aware that within the same song she might use more than one version of the tune. However, all modifications were slight.
Mrs. Borusky was born in Kentucky, and came to Wisconsin in 1906.
