This typical Nyaheun house, adjacent to a rice storage shed (on the left) in the Nyaheun village of Nam Kong (XB 7156) in Attapu Province, shows the buildings' proximity to each other as well as to the forested area behind the village. Both structures are located on the slope of a hill and are made from bamboo with the exception of wooden corner posts.
