Kaohsiung, Formosa: C.A.T. (Civil Air Transport)
In 1949, Civil Air Transport moved its maintenance base from China to Taiwan. In early 1950, the barge Buddha and S.S.Chung ship stopped at Gaoxiong Gang and established a factory made up of Quonset huts with machine, instrument and propeller shops.
