Front view of building and partial view of west side. Seven stories with round tower from 2nd thru 7th floors on alley corner. Bay windows visible front and side. Greenwood Building visible to the right.
The Merrill block or Building build around the year 1893, replaced 1930 by Kresge Building. Also site of Merrill Theatre from about 1916 to 1929. Building, 3 stories, at right is the Greenwood Building 1877, J. J. Greenwood & Sons as grocers, now site of the Majestic Building since 1908. Merrill block 211 - 215 Grand Ave. Merrill Theatre 217 Grand Ave unchanged as 217 W. Wisconsin Ave. Last time as Merrill Building 1930 (1929-30).
