Riley Creek Rag, 1935-1937, Volume 1. Civilian Conservation Corps Camp Newsletters for Camp Riley, Company 642, located in Fifield, Price County, Wisconsin. The Civilian Conservation Corps was created in 1933 as a work relief program, with camps working in the forests planting trees and controlling forest fires, and building trails, bridges, and state parks. The Corps disbanded in 1942. The newsletters document social life, recreational activities, and Corps work activities in the camps.
