- Description
Ji Li also known as Shihang Li is interested in seal cutting. He and his brother, Mingke Li (a well-known seal connoisseur) learn seal cutting from Shilling Huang (1849-1908) (a seal-cutting master in the late Qing dynasty).
No record related to remote scholars will be found in an imperial library. I am like one of them. I am aloof and able to freely appreciate beauty of nature. I like to draw wild plum blossoms spreading along rivers and bamboos growing next to a monk's shed. I hope one day the emperor will finally appreciate my work, a project made by an impoverished litterateur.
