A man in a white coat directs pedestrian traffic on W Wisconsin Ave at N 3rd St. The crowd is crossing N 3rd St. Herman's department store is visible at left, with Joe Mallon (clothing and cigars). The Garden Restaurant is also visible. The tall, light colored building is the McCoy Hotel. Cars and an electric streetcar can be seen in the street.
