Oval portrait down to legs of Dell Richards. He appears to be middle-aged and is wearing a dark suit, white shirt and bow tie. Has a mustache. Right hand is in his pants pocket. Jacket unbuttoned. Dell Richards. Delbert (Dell) Richards, son of George and Margaret Richards was born 1868 in a house where the Carnegie library was later built. Mr. Richards grew up in Richarland Center in the newspaper work. Before he went to Ladysmith (Wisconsin) in 1898, he was editor of The (Richland) Rustic. Died in 1955. Mayor of Ladysmith, (Wisconsin) Assemblyman. Carnegie Library was on the southwest corner of Seminary and Park Streets.
