- Description
This series of photos takes you to a small village in Bali and shows you Balinese dancing. The Balinese dance is not performed by professionals but by the young girls in each village. Usually her brothers, cousins and neighbors form the orchestra. The girl usually quits dancing when she reaches the age when a marriage is in the offing. Balinese dancers are considered among the finest in the world using their entire body--hands, toes, eyes, etc. Every village has its own dancers. Young sisters and brothers look on.
