View of two story house with six over six windows with outside blinds. House has two front entrances, one of which is a double door with a transom window. View of wood picket fence and wooden sidewalk with dirt street.
The residence of Increase A. Lapham, a pioneer settler of Milwaukee, [who] made many of the early maps of the city from around 1845 to until the 1860's. Home as shown was built by John Messenger and as residence of Lapham up to the time of his death Sept 14, 1875. Located 321-325 Popular [sic.] St. From original photo July 1896. Location shown as on the south side of Popular (Sic.] St (W. McKinley Ave. between 3rd-4th streets).
