This photographic print, taken by a Portage photographer around the turn of the twentieth century, is mounted on matboard and features the residence of then owner, William S. Stroud. William S. Stroud built this Dutch Colonial Revival residence on West Howard in 1901. The Dutch Colonial revival features include the gambrel roof with flared eaves; symmetrical faade along the main block; columned portico with Tuscan columns and capitals of the Ionic order; and chimney at the far end of the dwelling. The annotation, located at the bottom left-hand corner of the object, lists dwelling as a duplex in 1952.
