- Description
The sidebard is ornamented with veneers in contrasting light and dark tones. The two paneled doors are flat on the exterior and beveled on the interior. Door frames are joined with shouldered through-tenons. Triangular veneers meet at the center of each door with a darker circle of veneer. Three narrow, shallow drawers and one wide drawer, all dovetailed at the front and back. Drawer bottoms are beveled, slotted into sides, and reinforced with nails. S-curve pillars are of solid maple, as are the unusual square legs. Currently on view in the dining room of the Koepsell House at Old World Wisconsin.
