- Description
This photograph shows several businesses on W Wisconsin Ave sometime in the 1950s. At far left is the Schroeder Hotel (now the Hilton Hotel), with some sort of scaffolding (perhaps for a billboard) partially erected nearby. Across the ground level, from left to right, are the Avenue Bar, the Friendship Club, Wolf's Majestic Flower Shop, Littman's Furs, and Wisconsin Auto Sales Company. There is a billboard advertising Schlitz beer between Littman's and the Wisconsin Auto Sales Company.
