A Yao (Iu Mien) woman poses for a photograph of the back of her traditional clothing. She is wearing her newly embroidered cape, pants with needlework panels and considerable silver as part of the finery for the Yao New Year. Applique and silver coins adorn her cape, while her turban is adorned with bands of silver. Silver plays an important part of the Yao clothing and dress.
