Front Picture Description: Black and white head and shoulders portrait of a young man wearing a United States Army uniform from the World War I era. There is a ribbon with 3 stars above his pocket flap. Robert Merwin Brewer was born 9 Mar 1899 to Theodore Merwin Brewer and Allie Hyndman Brewer. He was a member of the Richland Center High School class of 1917. He served in World War I as a Private in the 439th Motor Truck Company in the 414th Motor Supply Train of First Army Headquarters. He married Thelma Millman on 7 May 1921. They had a son, Robert M. Brewer Jr. on 24 Sep 1922 who died 4 Mar 1923.
