Ida Berkowitz is interviewed in her home in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Ida discusses her and her family's immigration from Poland, her father's roles in the Jewish community, and the split of the Kenosha Jewish congregation into reform and orthodox in the 1920's. Ida also discusses her Jewish upbringing, and how she tried to pass it along to her children, but they never kept kosher.This interview is part of the Wisconsin Jewish Archive.
