The buildings shown here were on the southeast corner of the intersection of Main Street (Sixth Avenue) and Park Street (56th Street) and looking in a northeasterly direction. The First National Bank can be seen; the store with the awning is the grocery store of Joseph A. Slosson. The wagon shown is the delivery wagon of Mr. Slosson. The Daniel Knapp store was a general store and the Knapp family lived on the second floor.
