BUILT: 1900 by Knox Yard at Harmar, Ohio. Named Francis J. Torrance
FORMERLY: Francis J. Torrance
FINAL DISPOSITION: Destroyed in ice flow in January, 1918

OFFICERS & CREW: 1905: Captain Jim Mace (pilot); 1914: Captain Harry Doss (pilot)

OTHER INFORMATION: Ways - 4596; The Princess and the Island Queen teamed in the Cincinnati-Coney Island trade from 1906-1917. She was being wintered in the mouth of the Kentucky River, 1917-1918 when ice broke her loose. She landed above Madison, Indiana with her hull upside down
