This map shows ward boundaries, names of additions, streets, bridges, mills, schools, religious buildings, businesses, hotels, railroads, factories, breweries, cemeteries, fair grounds, parks, mills, government buildings, American Express office, La Crosse Steam Marble Works, social halls, St. Michaels Orphan Asylum, Stevens Reserve, Tivoli Gardens, Centennial Gardens, Taylor's Island, Broken Arrow Island, Isle La Plume, La Crosse River, Mississippi River, and the Black River. Plat additions outlined in red. The map also includes insets: Alphabetical Index to Additions, List of Plats in Order of Date of Record, List of Vacated plats, Description of Lands and a Certificate of Register of the United States Land Office, and a Certificate of the Register of Deed of La Crosse, with several exceptions, of map accuracy.
