- Description
Small, 2 story wooden frame building in middle of photo. Sign with "M. Stein" above doorway. Front porch with man standing next to door. Street scene with people, horse-drawn cart, and earth road. One of many contenders for "oldest house in Milwaukee".
The oldest house in Milwaukee. [While this may have been true at the time of the photo, that statement is no longer accurate.] Built by Mathias Stein in January 1858.
