- Description
The interior of a mess hall of one of the area’s logging camps. Which one, and the identities of the men is not known. The men are having their meal inside some sort of light-colored tent. Three pots of coffee at a table seating ten! After a hard day’s work in the woods… fill it to the rim man!!! Note the fierce, almost defiant pride in the face of the obviously Scandinavian man second from the left. Many immigrants, well-educated in Europe, had to take hard, manual labor jobs at the beginning to establish themselves in the new world. Could that have been the case with him?
