This 1933 Wisconsin Conservation Dept. map shows roads, railroads, trails, lakes and streams, and the Trout Lake Game Refuge in Northern State Forest (which later became part of the Northern Highland-American Legion State Forest) in the towns of Arbor Vitae, Boulder Junction, Manitowish Waters, and Plum Lake in Vilas County. Text and illustrations on the verso of the map provides additional information about the state forest.
