- Description
This photograph shows the Browning Building (old Empire Building) on the corner of W Wisconsin Ave and N Plankinton Ave. This building was demolished in 1927. The building was home to several businesses, including the Wegner Hair Company, Franklin H. Feasley (real estate insurance), Kneuse & Kneuse (lawyers) and L. A. Kinsey & Son (real estate agents). Around the corner to the left was the Lewis Leidersdorf Cigar Shop, and around the corner to the right was Browning, King and Company. There is a billboard for Camel cigarettes above the building.
