A view across the rooftops at the Newhall House and Albany Hall on Michigan Street. Horse drawn carriages pass on the dirt road.
Newhall House Hotel and Albany Hall. Newhall Hotel oocupied the northwest corner of N Broadway and E Michigan Streets. Albany Hall, for many years a popular meeting place, to the left. Newhall Hotel built in 1857, burned in 1883. Albany Hall built in 1856, burned in 1862.
