- Description
This photograph was taken at the intersection of N Plankinton (known then as W Water St) and Wells St in the late 1800s. It shows the Adler & Mauer Billiard Hall, which appears in the Milwaukee City Directory from 1894-1896. A sign on the building declares that they sell beer from the P. Schoenhofen Brewing Company, which was located on the corner of E Scott St and S Barclay St.
