This folder contains part of a scrapbook assembled by Julia Alcott Lapham, Increase Allen Lapham's daughter, on the life of her father. The scrapbook primarily contains newspaper clippings about Lapham's research and a few of Lapham's publication. Of particular note are several articles expressing outrage at Lapham's removal from the position of Chief Geologist from the Wisconsin Geological Survey in 1875 and several articles written in German. Lapham's writings included in this folder are: "The Law of Embryonic Development The same in Plants as in Animals: By I. A. Lapham, LL. D" and "An Act to Provide for a Complete Geological Survey of Wisconsin".
