Students marching down Garfield Avenue (with Schofield Hall in the background) in opposition to government activities at Wounded Knee, week of March 7, 1973. Meetings, marches, rallies, and petitions were organized by the Native American Student Nationalists at UW-Eau Claire. About 130 supporters marched in protest from Schofield Hall to the Federal Building. More photos and information on p. 187 of the 1973 Periscope (University yearbook). The sign reads "Keep the troops out of Wounded Knee."
