- Description
A view of Dimler Brewery shortly after it was first opened in 1868 at First and Fremont. Beer was brewed in the lower level and stored in an underground cellar. Note the canopy in front which protected workers and horses from rain and snow when loading and unloading. When Doctor Carl Dreher came into possession of building, he added an office on the east side, and the brewery was remodeled into a drug store run by Dreher's daughter Bertha.
