Elizabeth Grey Peebles was born in 1847 and was married in 1866 in New York to Joseph Edwin Peebles. Obituary: Richland Center, WI: Republican Observer, 26 Mar 1925, p. 10, c. 5: Mrs. J. E. Peebles, of Spring Green, died at her home in that village on Monday of last week. Mrs. Peebles was for a long time a resident of the village of Lone Rock, where she took up her home in 1877.
