Front Picture Description: Black and white tintype portrait of a woman in a ruffled dress and hat with a boy standing next to her wearing a white shirt, bow tie, and dark colored pants, jacket and hat. Elizabeth Grey Peebles was born in 1847 and was married in 1866 in New York to Joseph Edwin Peebles. Obituary: Richland Center, WI: Republican Observer, 26 Mar 1925, p. 10, c. 5: Mrs. J. E. Peebles, of Spring Green, died at her home in that village on Monday of last week. Mrs. Peebles was for a long time a resident of the village of Lone Rock, where she took up her home in 1877. She was the mother of C G. Peebles, of this city. Clayton Peebles obituary: Richland Center, WI: Republican Observer, 8 Jun 1944: Clayton Peebles Died Tuesday After Long Illness, Clayton G. Peebles died at the Richland hospital Tuesday where he had been taken a few days previous for care. Mr. Peebles had been ill for some months following a stroke of paralysis. He was born in La Pine, N. Y., on December 17, 1869
