Front Picture Description: Black and white image of a man and a dog sitting in an open-topped car parked in front of a building. George Jamieson was born 21 Jun 1851 in Seaforth, Canada. After graduating from his home school, he attended a teachers’ college. He was principal of a school in Embro, Canada for 3 years. He was a graduate of the Detroit School of Medicine and attended Rush Medical School in Chicago for a year. Dr. George Jamieson was married to Adelaide Matteson Jamieson on 31 Dec 1889. George and Adelaide had 5 children: Dr. Raymond Jamieson, Dr. George Jamieson, and Miss Irene Jamieson of Racine and Miss Mabelle Jamieson, a teacher at Portage high school. Dr. Jamieson was a physician in the Lone Rock area for 43 years. He led the effort to get a bridge across the Wisconsin River at Lone Rock and in getting their first telephone system installed there. He was the Lone Rock village President in 1896 and 1911-1914. He died 31 Mar 1929 at his home in Lone Rock and was found i
