Map of the Menominee Indian Reservation. Legend reads: "Topographic and cultural data were obtained from field notes of a timber cruise and land classification by forty acre legal subdivisions conducted in 1914-1915. Distances and locations were obtained by compass lines and foot pacing with identification of section corners. The contour intervals indicating ten foot changes in elevation, are relative, no absolute elevations being determined nor base lines run. J.P. Kinney, Chief Supervisor of Forests."
