This folder has an assortment of COFO documents. Among them are: COFO pamphlets: "The Mississippi Summer Project"; "Mississippi Freedom Summer"; "Freedom Registration (with blank Freedom Registration form)"; "Adopt a Freedom School [The "Freedom School Prospectus"]." COFO's December 1963 bylaws. Annell Ponder's brave and moving essay called "Citizenship Education in the 'Heart of the Iceberg'." A January 1965 appeal from John and Candie Carawan for freedom songs for a second volume of same. The familiar "Overview of the Freedom Schools" for freedom school teachers.
