From State Bank souvenir booklet, “STEAMBOAT ROCK, a massive and imposing rock jutting out into the highway leading north from Richland Center. The likeness is so striking that it is correctly named by strangers at first sight and it is truly a wonderful freak of nature.” Steamboat Rock is located in Section 27 of Rockbridge Township. Written in lower right corner on front of picture, “CRAMER-ENG-CO-MIL”.
