Three quarter view of five story Italianate style building. Pilasters, cornices, and arched windows with hood moulding and keystones. Storefronts of several businesses are visible as well as neighboring buildings. Street view with horse drawn carts.
Southeast corner of N. Broadway and E. Michigan Streets. Built around 1867 and known as the Sexton Building. In 1876 the Friend Brothers Clothing Company purchased the building. It was then only a four-story building, but in 1882, there was added one more story. It was razed about 1971. A parking lot now occupies this site.
