The use of poles, a hay sling, and an engine powered winch to lift the sling are shown in the photo. A horse team is attached to a rake which transports hay to the stack. Picture appeared in June 1918 issue of Cornbelt Farmer IA, with caption 'Power machinery helping to pile up hay tonnage against winter injury.'
