Chiang Ching-kuo
'Immediately after receiving his new appointment, Ching-kuo systematically visited every part of his domain. He walked as much as fifty miles a day and eventually covered 900 miles, talking to peasants, merchants, officials, artisans, and refugees (p. 90).'
