These SNCC press releases from 1963 discuss the bombing of the Birmingham, Alabama, church in which four little girls were killed and call for a boycott of Birmingham's industries which, they point out, were owned by northerners (a list of the owners is part of the press release); segregation on U.S. military bases and at induction centers in the South; the National Guard being called out to quell racial disturbances in Maryland; and a raid on a Selma, Alabama, Freedom House and confiscation of SNCC papers there by police chief, Jim Clark. There are photos in the press releases.
